Shadow original sketch - One try was all it took with Shadow. I got what I wanted in one hit, and this is how she stayed. The lipgloss is a new thing for me, and it's funny that I should give it to a character based off of someone who probably hates the stuff and I KNOW probably despises dresses... but that's kind of the fun in Shadow's character. She's the comic's biggest annoying smartass. Megami concept sketch #1 - Ugh, she was so white-bread. Mostly I had a problem with this style... it was terribly boring and didn't really attract the eye much. Megami concept sketch #2 - What WAS I on?! This was even worse. More style-defined, but... the 80s Madonna hair and the Coda forehead dot just weren't doing it for me. The flowers I took, but changed to jewels. Mustardseed concept sketch #1 - As you can see, Muster didn't change much. But instead of the original idea of the Goddess having ONE assistant without a name, I decided that there should be two, and named them Cobweb and Mustardseed, after two of the faerie servants in "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Demi-goddesses #1 - back before they had personalities. Cute, but lackluster. But it was closer to what I wanted in the demi-goddesses, so I pretty much stuck with it. I made Cobweb more bitter, and Mustardseed more stupid, and poof, I was done. Yatta!
